Youth Hockey Leagues
The RI Sports Center offers several skating and hockey programs for a wide variety of groups or individuals, regardless of age or ability. Below is a list of programs offered at the rink.

- 3 - on - 3 Cross Ice Hockey League (Fall/Winter 2011-12): RI Hockey Development's Cross Ice 3 on 3 Hockey League is underway. Cross Ice will be broken up into twelve week sessions and run through April 1, 2012. This program will have open enrollment and cost will be pro-rated. Full equipment is needed to participate in the Cross Ice 3 on 3 Hockey League.
- Mite Development Team (2011-12): The Providence Capitals will host evaluations for the 2011-12 Development team on September 10, 2011. There is no cost for the evaluations.
Skaters will be evaluated and placed on one of two development teams. All development skaters will participate in a weekly practice/skills session as well as weekly Cross Ice 3 on 3 games. Skaters placed on the Advanced team will play 16 Full Ice games during the hockey season. See registration form for additional details.

- Providence Capitals: This franchise is part of the (EHF) Eastern Hockey Federation and offers hockey for the highly skilled and talented youth player. The (EHF) is the most competitive "AAA Elite " youth hockey league in New England and New York. The Caps are the only Rhode Island franchise in this league. The Caps are offering teams at all ages at the Elite and now AAA and AA levels for the 2011/2012 season. Call (401) 762-1588 x14 for more information or log on to www.providencecapitals.com
Edgewood Youth Hockey: This organization offers a Learn to Skate program, House League and competitive Travel Teams. Contact Tom Berard via email at erihahockey@cox.net or at (401) 556-0239 for more information or log on to www.eriha.org.
RI Jr. Development League (RIJDL): This league is a developmental league for Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts 6th, 7th and 8th grade players. This league plays for two seasons during the year--fall/winter and summer.
